Kinoko AHCC plus L-Selenomethionine combines AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) with the trace mineral selenium. AHCC is a natural dietary supplement made from a hybridization of several species of mushroom mycelia. Research indicates that AHCC enhances the immune system by increasing the activity of the white blood cells. Selenium is a powerful antioxidant essential for good health. Selenium deficiencies have been associated with a variety of immune-compromised conditions. Selenium supplementation is so important that "some evidence suggests that the consumption of selenium may reduce the risks of certain forms of cancer.
