DivaCup Model #1- Back in the 1930's the innovative menstrual cup was invented as a form of internal feminine protection. The DivaCup™ is a modern version of this proven concept that has been redesigned with the latest technology in moulding and materials.

The DivaCup™ is approved by the FDA (USA), and holds a current Health Canada medical device license. It is made of soft medical grade silicone, which is latex-free, 100% hypoallergenic and odorless. For over 50 years, silicone has been safely and extensively used in products for the health care industry.

Since The DivaCup™ is reusable, it is very economical. As well, you can feel confident that you are doing your part in environmental conservation. Landfill and pollution problems are on the rise and continue to be a worldwide concern. In 1998, 7 billion tampons and 13 billion sanitary pads and their packaging made their way into landfills and sewage systems in the USA alone!

Ingredients

The DivaCup™ is made of a high quality soft medical grade silicone that starts as a liquid, and then the molecules are bound together (or vulcanized) with very high heat to form a solid stable piece of silicone (similar to the feel of soft rubber). The DivaCup™ is also cured after production in an oven at a very high temperature to make sure all the molecules are bound and chain linked together. The material has gone through substantial testing to make sure none of the molecules will break away from the product. Since the end product is a solid rubber-like material, there is no possible way for anything to leak into the body (no leaching).

Suggested Usage

Depending on your flow empty the cup 2-3 times per 24 hour day, wash and reinsert. It can be worn up to 12 hours, even overnight. The DivaCup™ is ideal for all activities including swimming, camping, backpacking, and travelling. It is suitable for all menstruating women of all ages

Thank you! Your product has changed my life. Since the birth of my second child, I have been banished to my home for the first two days of my cycle every month. I would double up tampons and still would not be unable to leave the house for more than an hour at a time. I didn't believe your product would work at first, but I was desperate.

Part of me is still in disbelief, but this little silicone thing does the trick completely. Now in my second 'round', I don't even use a pad for back up. My period started last Thursday. Friday, my kids had a 'snow day' and wanted me to take them sleighriding. Without this product, I would have had to find some compelling way to tell them we couldn't go. Happily, I didn't have to.

To anyone condsidering this product - it's easy; it's economical; it's environmentall responsible; and most importantly it works.
